The Youth Travel Academy is run by a team of professionals,
all of whom have been active in youth travel for a long time and who were recruited to the Academy because of their specialist set of skills, knowledges and exerience.
I am co-founder of the Youth Travel Academy and have worked as a Product-, Training and Development Manager for
my own language school more than ten years. I am lecturing at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen.
My specialisms are quality assurance systems including the development and management of inspection frameworks and international team recruitment.
I am co-founder of the YTA and was member of the YTA management board. I have been dealing with the scientific background of youth travel for many years and have just completed my PHD on the topic of youth travel. At YTA I am responsible for the design and implementation of staff training as well as the organisation, management and moderation of scale events for a wide range of providers from all areas of youth tourism.
During my studies, I was enthusiastic about all aspects of tourism. Since then I have been working in various areas of (youth) travel.
I was in quality management for many years and significantly involved in the development of quality standards and the writing of various works on the subject of youth travel. My current favorite project: Certification of youth travel destinations! I am member of the YTA management board.
In addition to my work for Youth Travel Academy, I am the managing director of Transfer e.V., one of the founding members of YTA. As a competent project
partner, we network and qualify players in youth and educational work.
As part of our projects, we primarily deal with the topics of youth health, inclusion / diversity and personal development.
