Activity Teamer

Are you looking for a summer camp job?

Do you have knowledge of foreign languages and an interest in working with young people within an international environment?

As an Activity Teamer you are mainly responsible for the running of the activity program and the supervision of children/young people. You are responsible for the welfare of our customers, no matter what time of the day. As part of an international team you provide a creative all day programme which is targeted to the needs of our customers. Good language skills and delivering a high level of service are required. You can work as an Activity Teamer in either the English camp, the Girls camp if you are female or the newly launched activity based Junior Camp for 8 to 10 year old kids if you can speak a little bit of German.

 

Your tasks

  • Supervision of students during their stay in the camp
  • Accompanying and supervision during excursions and activities
  • Preparation and implementation of an activity programme
  • Organization and supervision of evening events (e. g. theme nights, shows)
  • Preparation of welcome packs and farewell meetings

Your profile

  • You need to be available for a minimum of two weeks during the camp operation
  • Minimum 18 years’ old
  • Good English language skills since the training events are held in English
  • if you want to work in the Girls Camp (Summer only) you need to be female
  • if you want to work in an English Camp you need to be a near native level English speaker (C1)
  • Enjoying being and working with young people
  • You like outdoor sports, arts and crafts, dance and movement and music
  • You have an extrovert personality with the ability to lead and motivate the young people to participate fully in the programme
  • Good oral communication skills
  • Reliable and able to accept responsibility when required
  • Flexible and open-minded attitude to work
  • A good team-player but also able to work independently

 

Conditions / Formal aspects

  • Pay: 200,00 Euros weekly
  • Single or twin ensuite accommodation plus full-board on the Stiftsberg in Kyllburg
  • 1 regular day off per week
  • Travel allowance of 100 Euros to and from the camp and to the training event
  • First Aid Certificate (8 hours, not older than 2 years)
  • Police clearance certificate

 

Pre-Conditions

  • A successful participation in one of our cost free obligatory international training events held on Stiftsberg in Kyllburg: 

 

4-week blended learning Course in June 2022 followed by a two day on site training session just before the start of your employment i.e.:

 

23rd of June 2022 for CampUs English and CampUs Juniors in Kyllburg

14th of July for CampUs Girls in Kyllburg

  • A minimum age of 18

 For all Language Camps you will need to be at least a near native level speaker of English.
For the Girls Camp you need to be female and ideally have at least some German language skills.
